Argentina

阿根廷國家通訊機構(ENACOM)已發布第928/2025號決議,自2025年6月17日起生效。

  1. 頻率整合
    納入414–415 MHz及424–425 MHz頻段,供私人用途無線電鏈路集中系統(SRCEP) 使用。
  2. 頻道配置
    第I條所述的私人用途系統,應採用2018年2月20日第848號決議附件IF-2018-03083664-APN-DNPYC#ENACOM中規定的頻道配置。
  3. 修正先前的決議
    原通訊部2011年2月14日第31號決議附件I第3.5點現已修改如下:
    「3.5 除非因各地區地理特性有例外,不同用戶在420 MHz或800 MHz通用頻段內操作單一頻道之 ERC(無線電通信鏈路)最小間距分別為136公里及110公里。該設備訊號不得在其周圍半徑30公里範圍內超過40 dBu。」

The National Communications Entity (ENACOM) has issued Resolution 928/2025, effective from June 17th, 2025.

Main point as below:

  1. Incorporation of frequencies
    Incorporate the use of frequency bands between 414 and 415 MHz, and between 424 and 425 MHz, for the operation of the Private use Radioelectric Link Concentration System (SRCEP)
  2. Channel Configuration
    The private use system referred to article I will use the channel layout contained in Annex IF-2018-03083664-APN-DNPYC#ENACOM of Resolution No. 848, dated Feb. 20th, 2018.
  3. Amendment to Prior Rules
    Point 3.5 of Annex I of Resolution No. 31, dated February 14, 2011, of the former SECRETARIAT OF COMMUNICATIONS, is hereby MODIFIED, which shall read as follows: “3.5. Except for exceptions due to the geographical characteristics of each region, the minimum separation between ERCs of different users operating in a single channel in the generic bands of 420 or 800 MHz shall be 136 and 110 kilometers respectively. The signal from said stations shall not exceed 40dBu within an area of 30 kilometers radius around them.”

On July 16th, 2025, the President of Mexico released the Law on Telecommunications and Broadcasting, which be in force without grace period. The Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones (IFT) transition to Comisión de Regulación en Telecomunicaciones (CRT).

The following dates shall be considered working days for the Institute: July 21 to 25, July 28 to 31, and August 1, 2025, only for the purposes of fulfilling the transition, extinction, or related procedures set forth in the transitory articles of the Decree issuing the Law on Telecommunications and Broadcasting.

泰國

Thailand

2025年6月9日,泰國國家廣播電信委員會 (NBTC) 宣布,自2025年6月30日起,終止泰國2G和3G設備的型式核准和進口。

公告要點:

On 9th June 2025, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) announced the termination of type approval and importation for 2G and 3G-only equipment in Thailand, effective from 30th June 2025.

Key points of the announcement:

  1. After 30th June 2025, NBTC will cease issuing type approval certificates (e.g., Class B) for equipment that supports only 2G or 3G technologies. However, for equipment that supports 2G/3G along with other cellular technologies (e.g., 4G/5G), NBTC will continue to issue type approval certificates as usual.
  2. After 30th June 2025, the importation of equipment that supports only 2G or 3G technologies will no longer be permitted. Equipment that has already been certified and imported into Thailand before this date can continue to be used and sold in the market. The new requirement applies only to new models and imports after effective date.
  3. Authorization for self-labelling and the purchase of labels for 2G and 3G-only equipment will be discontinued as well.

南韓

South Korea

2025年6月23日,韓國國家無線電研究機構(RRA)在《關於SAR測量方法的通知》中公佈SAR(比吸收率) 測量標準的修訂草案。此次修訂體現國家標準KS C 3350的採用,該標準整合國際標準IEC/IEEE 62209-1528:2020,並新增額外的實施說明。

On June 23, 2025, South Korea’s National Radio Research Agency (RRA) announced a draft revision to the SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) measurement standards under the “Notice on SAR Measurement Methods.” The revision reflects the adoption of the integrated national standard KS C 3350, which incorporates the international standard IEC/IEEE 62209-1528:2020, and introduces additional clarifications for implementation.

The revised SAR measurement standards will be officially enforced from April 1, 2026, and for ongoing projects at the time of the transition, application of the previous standard will still be accepted. Interested parties are invited to submit comments on the proposed revision to RRA by August 25, 2025.

2025年7月11日,韓國國家無線電研究機構(RRA)發布第2025-50號公告,修訂《廣播與通訊設備合格評定公告》中電磁相容性(EMC)測試方法與標準。此次更新反映了韓國新工業標準的廣泛採用,同時也恢復了特定產品類別的先前版本。

On July 11, 2025, South Korea RRA (National Radio Research Agency) announced Notice No. 2025-50, revising electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) test methods and standards under the “Notice on Conformity Assessment of Broadcasting and Communication Equipment.” This update reflects the broad adoption of newer Korean Industrial Standards, while also reinstating previous versions for specific product categories.

The revisions will come into effect one month after the notice date (i.e., August 11, 2025), with transitional provisions allowing previously tested products to retain their validity.

2025年6月23日,韓國無線電管理局(RRA)宣布對海事無線電設備技術標準進行部分修訂。此次修訂旨在加強人命安全和海上船舶安全,刪除不必要的內容,並使韓國國內標準與國際標準接軌。

On June 23, 2025, South Korea RRA announced the enforcement of a partial revision to the technical standards for maritime radio equipment. The revision aims to enhance human life safety and maritime vessel security, remove unnecessary content, and align the domestic standards with international standards.

Key Revisions as below:

  1. Search and Rescue Transmitting Devices: Relaxed the previously stricter domestic technical requirements for search and rescue transmitting devices to align with international standards and provided diagram-based specifications (Article 8).
  2. Satellite Emergency Position-Indicating Radio Beacons: Added requirements for satellite emergency position-indicating radio beacons to be equipped with Automatic Identification System (AIS) functionality, in line with revised international standards (Article 11).
  3. Onboard Communication Stations: Clarified regulations regarding occupied bandwidth for onboard communication station channel spacing, which had previously not been defined and caused difficulties in testing (Article 14-2).
  • For analog transmitters utilizing a channel spacing of 25 kHz, the occupied bandwidth shall be set to 16 kHz.
  • For analog transmitters utilizing a channel spacing of 12.5 kHz, the occupied bandwidth shall be set to 8.5 kHz, among others.
  1. Autonomous Maritime Radio Equipment: Aligned with ITU recommendations to resolve ambiguities in transmission messages such as identification numbers and navigation status (Article 26).
  2. VHF Maritime Mobile Service Frequencies: Corrected annotation errors (e.g., confirming that Channel 70 must be exclusively used for Digital Selective Calling).

科威特

Kuwait

On June 29, 2025, Kuwait CITRA (The Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority) announced the launch of 5G Advanced technology in Kuwait, marking a key step toward upgrading the country's digital infrastructure and preparing for future 6G deployment. According to Acting Chairman of CITRA, the new technology offers speeds of up to 3 Gbps and low latency, representing a major advancement in the country's telecom sector. With this move, Kuwait becomes one of the first countries worldwide to adopt 5G Advanced.

布隆迪

Burundi

The Agence de Régulation et de Contrôle des Télécommunications (ARCT) of Burundi has issued Ministerial Order No. 580/01, establishing new regulations governing the importation, sale, and use of telecommunications and ICT equipment within the country.

Key Provisions of the New Regulation as following:

  1. Mandatory Type Approval: All telecommunications and ICT equipment must now be approved by ARCT before being imported, sold, or distributed in Burundi.
  2. Authorized Applicants: Only entities authorized by ARCT are permitted to submit type approval applications.
  3. Labelling Requirements: Approved devices must bear the ARCT label, as well as stickers from the Burundi Revenue Authority (OBR) and the Bureau Burundais de Normalisation (BBN). Labelling will be managed locally by ARCT, OBR, and BBN. While labelling is mandatory, enforcement of this requirement will be phased in over time.
  4. Blocking of Unauthorized Devices: Mobile network operators are now required to assist in identifying and blocking unauthorized or unregistered devices using centralized equipment databases.
  5. Consumer Protection Focus: The regulation introduces specific provisions to combat counterfeit, altered, low-quality, and stolen equipment, ensuring greater safety and quality control for end users.
  6. Temporary Use Exemption: Devices intended for temporary use may be exempted from these requirements, subject to conditions set by ARCT.

史瓦濟蘭

Eswatini
(Swaziland)

史瓦濟蘭通訊委員會 (ESCCOM) 正式宣布分階段關閉 2G 和 3G 行動網絡,作為其數位轉型和頻譜效率策略的一部分。關鍵里程碑如下:

The Eswatini Communications Commission (ESCCOM) has officially announced a phased shutdown of 2G and 3G mobile networks as part of its digital transformation and spectrum efficiency strategy. The key milestones are as follows:

  1. Effective 30 November 2025: A ban will be implemented on the importation and type approval of all 2G-only and 3G-only mobile devices.
  2. Effective 31 December 2028: All 2G networks operating in Eswatini will be officially decommissioned.
  3. Effective 31 December 2030: All 3G networks will be completely shut down across the country.

The Eswatini Communications Commission (ESCCOM) has recently published an updated version of the National Frequency Allocation Plan (NFAP), replacing the previous version dated 2020. The revision includes significant new spectrum allocations aimed at supporting emerging technologies and aligning with international best practices.

Key Additions to the Frequency Allocations Include:

  • 40-50 MHz: Allocated for Earth Exploration-Satellite (Active) services.
  • 117.975-137 MHz: Allocated to the Aeronautical Mobile-Satellite (R) service.
  • 470-694 MHz: Designated for Services Ancillary to Broadcasting and Programme Making (SAB/SAP) and Short-Range Devices (SRD) such as wireless audio applications and radio microphones.
  • 694-862 MHz and 2010-2025 MHz: Allocated for High-Altitude Platform Stations (HAPS) functioning as International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) base stations (HIBS).
  • 3600-3800 MHz: Assigned to mobile services, excluding aeronautical mobile.
  • 6425-7125 MHz: Designated for International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) and Wireless Access Systems, including Radio Local Area Networks (WAS/RLAN).
  • 12.75-13.25 GHz: Allocated for Earth Stations in Motion (ESIM), limited to aircraft and vessel-mounted terminals communicating with geostationary fixed-satellite service stations.
  • 15.41-15.7 GHz: Assigned to the Aeronautical Mobile (OR) service.
  • 18.1-18.6 GHz, 18.8-20.2 GHz, and 27.5-30 GHz: Allocated for Inter-Satellite Links (ISL).
  • 22-22.2 GHz: Designated for Aeronautical Mobile (OR) service, restricted to non-safety-related applications.
  • This updated NFAP supports Eswatini’s vision for spectrum modernization, enabling greater innovation across mobile, broadcasting, aeronautical, and satellite communications sectors.

India

印度標準局 (BIS) 正式發布新的 IS/IEC 62368-1:2023 標準-音訊/視訊、資訊和通訊技術設備-第 1 部分安全要求。

Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) officially published the new IS/IEC 62368-1:2023 standard - Audio/Video, Information and Communication Technology Equipment - Part 1 Safety Requirements.

This marks progress towards formal implementation of the new standard in the future. However, BIS are yet to provide guidance or confirmation on the formal implementation date, any transition period (if any), the approval process or impact to existing registrations under the current IS 13252/IEC 60950 standard.

The India Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) published a Notification on June 26, 2025, announcing an extension on the generic exemption from submission of test reports for the products listed below under MTCTE until December 31, 2025, or further notice.

  3. Precision Timing Protocol Grand Master Equipment
  4. VHF UHF Radio System Equipment
  5. PTP PMP Microwave Fixed Radio Systems
  6. ADSLx

  9. Optical Fiber (Cable)

  11. GSO VSAT/GSO User Terminal

TEC published a Notification on June 26, 2025, updating document requirements and exemptions for the PON Family of Broadband Equipment under MTCTE. Updates include an extension on the exemption from the Protocol Test for any PON interface until December 31, 2025, and limiting acceptance for Self-Declaration of Conformity by Applicant/OEM until December 31, 2025 for Automatic Laser Shut-Down (ALS) or Automatic Power Shut-Down (APSD).

  • lLAC test reports*from non-border sharing countries are acceptable till 31.12.2025 for the technical parameters of following products notified under MTCTE:
  • The test reports issued by labs accredited by lLAC signatories (with ILAC MRA Mark) from non- border sharing countries should not be older than two years on the date of submission on MTCTE Portal.

波札那

Botswana

波札那通訊監管局(BOCRA)宣布即將啟用新的型式認證管理系統,以取代現行平台。
自2025年7月25日起,BOCRA將不再透過現行系統核發型式認證證書(含更正版本)。
一旦新系統啟用,所有新的型式認證申請將僅能透過該系統辦理。BOCRA建議在系統轉換前提交所有未完成的申請。關於新系統的使用方式與存取細節,BOCRA將另行公告。

The Botswana Communications Regulatory Authority (BOCRA) has announced the upcoming deployment of a new Type Approval Management System, which will replace the existing platform.

Key Details:
Effective 25 July 2025, BOCRA will cease issuing Type Approval certificates—including corrected certificates—through the current system.

All new Type Approval applications will be processed exclusively through the new system once it is operational.

Submission of any outstanding applications prior to the transition date.
Further details regarding access and usage of the new system are expected to be released soon.

坦尚尼亞

Tanzania

坦尚尼亞通訊監理局 (TCRA) 正式公佈為國際行動通訊 (IMT) 服務進行的 3600-3800 MHz 頻譜拍賣結果。

The Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) has officially released the results of the 3600–3800 MHz spectrum auction conducted for International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) services.

TCRA confirmed that the 3600–3800 MHz band has been successfully allocated to three service providers to support the deployment and expansion of IMT services across the country.

Further details on the winning bidders and specific allocations may be published in due course via the TCRA website or official communications.

China

2025年6月26日,中國民航局發布緊急通知,自6月28日起,禁止旅客攜帶無3C標識、3C標識不清晰以及召回型號或批次的行動電源乘坐國內航班。

On June 26th, the Civil Aviation Administration of China issued an urgent notice, prohibiting passengers from carrying charging treasures with no 3C logo, unclear 3C logo and recalled models or batches on domestic flights from June 28th.
