To prevent 2G (GSM) fake base station fraud, mobile phones sold in Taiwan must have the automatic connection to 2G (GSM) base station signals disabled for domestic use. Mobile phones sold in Taiwan are required to include a manual activation option for connecting to 2G base station signals, with the default setting set to off. The Decree outlines the development of a nationwide network for cellular mobile telecommunications based on IMT-2020 (5G) under the model of a single infrastructure operator. The same infrastructure will also support LTE (4G) services. The project is expected to significantly improve the availability and quality of mobile communications and internet speed across Belarus. According to the official statement, the implementation of 5G and broader LTE coverage is considered a critical step in modernizing national information and communication technologies for the benefit of citizens, businesses, and state interests. |

While the full details of the changes are available only in Serbian, the announcement confirms that the updated plan is now legally in force and reflects Serbia’s continued alignment with international spectrum harmonization efforts and new telecommunications technologies. The updated plan is expected to provide a more flexible and forward-compatible framework for spectrum management, which may include reallocation or designation of specific bands for advanced services such as 5G or IoT. These changes follow public consultations and internal review by the agency and are intended to support technological innovation, ensure regulatory clarity, and promote investment in wireless infrastructure. |

Acting Chiefs from the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau, the Office of Engineering and Technology, and the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau jointly dismissed the remaining early transition waivers as unnecessary. The Commission confirmed that all applicants may now seek formal C-V2X authorization under the current rules established in the 5.9 GHz Second Report and Order. The Commission had adopted the final C-V2X-based technical rules on November 21, 2024, which became effective on February 11, 2025. These rules marked the official transition of ITS operations in the 5.9 GHz band from legacy DSRC-based systems to C-V2X. Prior to the final rule adoption, the FCC had allowed Part 90 ITS licensees to operate C-V2X-based roadside units (RSUs) under geographic licensing waivers and had also permitted equipment certifications via rule waivers. With the new rules now in effect, these transitional provisions are no longer needed. |

On 10 April 2025, the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute (AZSTAND) announced the immediate adoption of new state standards focused on energy efficiency, safety, and performance requirements for equipment used in heating and cooling applications. These newly adopted standards establish clear guidelines aimed at improving the overall energy performance and ensuring the safe operation of such devices in residential and commercial settings. The standards are now in effect.

Internet of Things (IoT) devices that are able to send and receive data over the internet using IP as well as IoT devices that are indirectly connected to the internet are included in the scope of this voluntary scheme. Product categories STAR-1 and STAR-2 labels may be granted by self-declarations, and STAR-3 and STAR-4 labels may be granted through third-party evaluations from independent test labs. The JC-STAR label contains a QR code that links to the labelled product’s website through IPA, which will feature details such as vendor information, product information, label information, security information (any updates or vulnerabilities of the product), and contact information.
